Time continues to fly by, and today we welcome May to our calendars.
The saying goes, “April showers bring May flowers,” and with the start of May, we wanted to kick things off with a fun video. Starting today, we will be welcoming each new month with a fun video celebrating one of our favorite bags of the moment.
Our May video features the Tory Burch Robinson Floral Printed Triangle Tote, a bag we already featured as our bag of the week. You can shop this bag for $375 via Bloomingdale’s.
Some readers requested a detailed overview of my new Tory Burch Gym Bag double-zip tote. . I started looking into this bag 3 weeks ago. I went to my regional Saks and attempted on the black one back in December. The Robinson tote can be purchased at high-end department stores like Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdales as well as Tory Burch’s site for $575. Once seeing/touching it in person, another step for me is to start looking for some sort of a discount. I think I’ve mentioned it before — I don’t mind preowned as long as they meet my needs. I wasn’t going to purchase a preowned Tory Burch but that I was not opposed to this idea, either. I watched a few of these on eBay and all of them ended up around $475ish. The savings is not significant. I decided to hold out a bit longer to find a much better bargain. The first question that came into my head was why? The main reason is that this particular tote was made before summer of 2012. The liner for the Robinson Double-zip tote was redesigned last Fall. Therefore, the solid canvas lining vs. the logo jacquard lining. Aside from that, everything else is equal to the current version.I did some research online regarding the liner simply to educate myself. However, there was a picture from Neiman Marcus revealing the specific same liner. Additionally, someone here said the orange lining (the inspection dated March 2012).
